This month’s challenge is brought to us by the adventurous Hilda from Saffron and Blueberry and Marion from Il en Faut Peu Pour Etre Heureux. They have chosen a French Yule Log by Flore from Florilege Gourmand…
Which I did not make. Because I’m lame. Not lame as in “I have a bad leg” (which would have been a respectable excuse) but lame as in “somehow I didn’t get it together to make this amazing dessert, even though it would have been perfect for New Year.” And I missed last month too. And it’s French. That doesn’t really have anything to do with anything, but I love French stuff. You’d think I would have gotten it together.
Like last month (how did a whole month go by already?), here is a list of other daring and certainly more industrious bakers than I (half of the blogs I looked at were full of Christmas cookies too). Thank goodness it’s New Year – that means I get a clean slate, right?

If you want to peruse the ever-lengthening list of Daring Bakers, do so here – and join! It’s fun – especially when you actually do the challenge!!
Bake on into 2009. We need daring more than ever.
Cheers.
