Wine Wednesday|Dearly Beloved Forever Red (2009)

What a bottle!

No, seriously, what a bottle.  The wine…well…

It’s not bad, just a bit bland.  It’s drinkable, but there aren’t any significant flavors.  Perfectly fine for a glass but it didn’t wow us.  The husband says that the bottle is more remarkable than the wine (a comment I’ve heard from quite a few people).  It improves a bit with a breathe, but still there’s just not much there.  It’s not hot, not sweet, not smoky, not peppery, not rich, not thin…it’s just kinda…wine…no shape to it.  There is a bit sourness and dryness, but that’s about it.

Wine Wednesday’s is gearing up to take a new direction soon that I’m really excited about.  I’ll share more about that soon when we’re closer.

Until next week!

Cheers.

  1. My husband and I slump bottles and bead them up. Painted bottles are the best! The paint will go thru the kiln process and come out intact. i have some”cute-sy” bottles that are for me. He had intended for the Dearly beloved bottle to be HIS and it didn’t make it thru the process-our fault (it’s pieces are now buried in a glass recycling container). i dearly want one for him for his personal use. Do you know of any extras? We recently got a Trader Joe’s in Missouri, but it was a limited edition. The bottle is so COOLL!! Anything you could do or if you have any ideas, would be appreciated.

Thanks for visiting the blog! I agree – the bottle is really cool. The TJ’s I work at also ran out of DB a while back and I have no idea where to get it now. Sometimes you can find our special buys still available at slower stores, but I think this one is probably going to be out in all the stores. 🙁 You could try calling around to stores nearest to your area – if you do find one, I’m fairly certain you’d need to have someone go into the store and buy it for you and get it to you somehow – I don’t think we can ship any product.

Sorry to not have better news for you! There are certain wines we seem to get every year, so this one could come back in the future, but I really can’t say on this one. Happy slumping!
